Audio Orientation Series MP3

Dr. Frisch has developed an innovative approach based, in part, on the theory and technique of Wilhelm Reich and includes the development of her own unique, formalized method founded on her years of experience. Reichian Therapy, developed by Wilhelm Reich, is a method for character transformation that recognizes the essential functional identity of the mind and body. Also known as Orgone Therapy and Orgonomic Therapy, Reichian Therapy recognizes how “armoring” against the free flow of life energy blocks full emotional expression and the realization of one’s core self. The Orgonomic therapist works psychodynamically in the form of characteranalysis, as well as somatically to reveal to the patient\client their character attitudes and their biophysical armoring. As the character armor dissolves, the somatic interventions assist in breaking up the unhealthy, historically embedded patterns that lead to physical and mental symptoms.

These two Orientation audio courses are designed to give an introduction to Dr. Frisch and her method and offer the public and professional audience some basic exposure to Reich’s theoretical orientation and clinical approach.

Integrating Somatic Psychology into Current Therapeutic Paradigms

Breaking Through Patient Resistance

In this audio, Reich understood that therapy will fall apart and patients inevitably move on unless the therapist can work effectively with the patient’s resistance. Reich worked directly with immediacy and efficacy in approaching resistance. Dr Frisch has perfected this approach. Learn how to work with presenting character styles that actually illuminate and manifest the patient’s resistance. Discover ways to pinpoint latent negative resistance and see how it infects treatment. Time: 1:40

I have taken Dr. Frisch’s independent study course for three years. During all that time, I have been in graduate school. While I am impressed with the various theoretical models taught in school, the two models that Dr. Frisch primarily draws from, Reich’s character analytic work and Masterson’s approach, are excellent, highly practical working models. This really comes through when Dr. Frisch discusses cases. Her supervision is razor sharp and to the point, and her advice has repeatedly helped transform my work with clients. The audio CD and MP3 courses are full of valuable information and insight, and luckily, can be listened to repeatedly. Each time I listen to them, I hear something new that helps me in my work. I have had the amazing opportunity to see Dr. Frisch work with clients during her live classes. Her effectiveness, her ability to get to the point and see the essence of what is happening for the client, and her bravery in working with those parts of our characters that are difficult – are all remarkable.
